Terms of Service

1. Who we are
These Terms govern your use of the Popseat apps, website (popseat.me) and related services (collectively, the “Services”). “Popseat”, “we”, “us” means Popseat and its affiliates.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Services.
3. Location & map features
- Certain features use your device’s location to show posts on a map and to personalize your experience. You can enable/disable location in your OS settings at any time. If disabled, some features may not work.
- When enabled, we may collect precise or approximate location as provided by your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Your content
- You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., photos, captions, map posts). You grant Popseat a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services.
- Do not post content that is illegal, infringing, or violates others’ rights. You’re responsible for the content you provide.
- We may remove or disable content that violates these Terms or the law.
5. Acceptable use
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the Services.
- No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity.
- No attempts to bypass privacy or security (including our Row Level Security policies).
6. Software & third‑party services
The Services integrate third‑party providers, including Supabase (database, authentication, storage) and email/analytics providers. Your use may be subject to their terms and policies.
7. Paid features
If we offer paid features or in‑app purchases, additional terms (pricing, billing, refunds) will apply and will be presented at purchase time.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Popseat against claims arising from your content or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for security, legal, or operational reasons.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll notify you by reasonable means. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
Unless required otherwise by local law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in the Netherlands.
